Our process

Take the minerals out.

Most streaks are not technique, they are chemistry. Ordinary water leaves dissolved solids behind when it dries. Remove them first and the glass dries clear on its own.

Why ordinary water leaves streaks

Tap water carries dissolved minerals. Wash a window with it and the water evaporates while the mineral stays behind. That residue is most of what people call streaks — it is not the technique, it is what was in the water.

Three-stage reverse osmosis, on the truck

Sediment, then carbon, then a reverse-osmosis membrane. By the time water reaches the pole it has nothing dissolved in it to leave behind. On well water — common out toward Magnolia — that is the entire difference between a clean window and a spotted one.

It dries itself, with nothing left in it

Pure water sheets off the glass and dries with nothing in it. No squeegee marks, no towel lines, no dried edges where a cloth stopped. Nobody has to touch the pane to finish it.

From the ground, not off a ladder

A water-fed pole reaches second and third-storey glass from the ground. Safer for the crew, and no ladder feet in your flowerbeds or against your gutters. Above three storeys it becomes lift work, which we quote on the job.

No soap on your landscaping

There is no detergent in the system, so nothing runs off into a bed or down a driveway. It is plain water with the minerals taken out.

Questions

What actually is the pure-water system?
Water passes through a three-stage reverse-osmosis filter on the truck before it reaches the pole — sediment, carbon, membrane. That strips out the dissolved minerals which otherwise dry on the glass and read as streaks.
Do you use ladders?
Almost never. Nearly everything is done from the ground with a water-fed pole, which is safer for the crew and keeps ladders off your landscaping.
Does pure water dry on its own?
Yes. It sheets off and dries with nothing in it, so there is nothing to wipe and no squeegee marks.
Is there soap in it?
No. Plain water with the dissolved solids removed, which is why nothing runs off into your beds.
